Carbon Dome Tweeter on Top

Cymbals and strings keep their sparkle right to the top. The Carbon Dome tweeter was purpose-built for the 700 Series. It is an aluminum dome stiffened with a carbon coating and a carbon outer ring, which holds its shape far beyond anything you can hear.

 

A Housing of Its Own

Each speaker's tweeter sits above the cabinet in a housing of its own. Keeping it separate from the drivers below means the finest detail stays perfectly clear.

Continuum Cone from the 800 Series Diamond

Voices sound natural and unforced, and instruments sit where the recording put them. Inside each cabinet, the midrange comes from a 150mm (6 inch) Continuum cone, inherited directly from the 800 Series Diamond and woven from a composite material.

 

Three Aerofoil Bass Drivers

The bass drops low and stays tight. Three 165mm (6.5 inch) Aerofoil Profile cones sit below the midrange in each cabinet. Computer modeling shaped them to be thickest exactly where the stiffness matters most.

 

Flowport on the Back

The low notes come through clean and easy to follow. Each speaker's port is dimpled like a golf ball, and those dimples cut the turbulence as air moves through the Flowport.

 

One Cable from Your Amplifier

They work with the amplifier you already have, or any you are likely to buy. One cable from each speaker is all it takes. There is also a second set of connectors on the back for anyone who wants to run two cables instead.
