LG MR25GA 2025 Magic Remote is the Magic Remote made for LG's 2025 televisions. It replaces repeated button presses with an on-screen pointer you aim like a mouse, adds a scroll wheel for long lists, and takes spoken requests through Intelligent Voice Recognition with a dedicated AI and Alexa button. It links to your TV over radio frequency — so it works from anywhere within 10 meters without being pointed at the set — and adds infrared for universal control of your soundbar and other connected devices. It runs on two AAA batteries.

Built for LG's 2025 TV Lineup

The MR25GA is the Magic Remote made for LG's 2025 televisions: the OLED G5, C5 and B5 series, the QNED 92A, 85A and 80A series, and the UA77 series. If your set is one of those, this is the remote built for it — and it also works with select 2024 and older LG OLED TVs.

Point, Click and Scroll Like a Mouse

Lift the remote and a pointer appears on screen. Move your hand and the pointer follows, so choosing an app or picking one thumbnail out of a crowded row becomes a matter of aiming and clicking rather than pressing a direction pad over and over. The scroll wheel carries you through long lists, and pressing the wheel acts as the OK button.

Just Say What You Want to Watch

Intelligent Voice Recognition is built into the remote, so a spoken request can search for a title, open an app or change a setting without a button press. A dedicated AI and Alexa button puts hands-free control and smart-home commands one press away.

One Remote for the TV, the Soundbar and More

The Magic Remote doubles as a universal remote. Over infrared it controls an LG soundbar and other connected devices, so a single handset covers more of your setup than the TV alone. Six programmable shortcut keys, plus dedicated buttons for popular streaming apps, put your favorites within instant reach — available app buttons may vary by region.

Radio Frequency Plus Infrared

The MR25GA links to your LG TV over radio frequency rather than line-of-sight infrared, so it responds from behind a coffee table, around a corner or across a crowded room — no clear path to the screen needed, anywhere within about 33 feet. Infrared is included as well, giving the remote its universal control of other devices.

Forty Channels on the 2.4 GHz Band

The wireless link operates between 2.400 GHz and 2.4835 GHz across forty channels at a maximum output power of 8 dBm EIRP, giving it room to find a clear channel in a busy wireless environment for a stable, responsive connection.

Pairing and Re-Pairing Made Simple

Pairing takes one action: point the remote at the television and press the Wheel (OK) button. If you ever need to reset it, holding the HOME and BACK buttons together for about five seconds clears the pairing so you can register the remote fresh.

Runs on Two AAA Batteries

Power comes from two AAA 1.5-volt alkaline cells (not included), and the remote is rated for operation between 32°F and 104°F — dependable performance in everyday living-room conditions.
