LG W7 Sound Suite Wireless Subwoofer anchors the low end of an LG home theater with an 8-inch woofer engineered in collaboration with Peerless, a driver specialist with a century of acoustic engineering behind it. The W7 connects wirelessly - directly to a Dolby Atmos FlexConnect-supported LG TV, or to the Sound Suite H7 soundbar and M7 and M5 speakers - so it can sit wherever the bass sounds best rather than wherever a cable happens to reach. The cabinet stands upright or lies on its side without compromising output, and volume and phase are tuned from the LG ThinQ app.

An 8-Inch Woofer Engineered with Peerless
LG developed the W7's 8-inch driver in collaboration with Peerless, a company that has been building loudspeaker components for a hundred years. The driver works inside a precisely tuned 22-liter bass reflex enclosure, and that internal volume is what lets the W7 move air with control rather than sheer force - the reason a well-built subwoofer adds weight to a soundtrack without turning every low note into the same dull thud.
Wireless by Design
There is no speaker cable to run and no signal cable to hide. The W7 receives audio wirelessly from a compatible LG TV or the Sound Suite H7 soundbar, so the only thing that has to reach it is power. For anyone who has arranged a room around where the subwoofer cable could physically go, that is a meaningful change in where the W7 is allowed to live.
Stands Upright or Lies on Its Side
The W7 is engineered for both orientations, so it can stand vertically in a corner or lie horizontally beneath a console or media cabinet without compromising performance. At 16.1 by 16.3 inches and 7.6 inches deep, it is built to be positioned where the bass works best in the room rather than where a cabinet happens to have clearance.
Connects Straight to a Compatible LG TV
No soundbar is required. The W7 can pair directly with an LG TV that supports Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, adding real low-frequency extension to the television's own audio with one box and one power cord. It is the shortest path from a thin-panel TV to bass you can actually feel, and it leaves the door open to a fuller Sound Suite system later.
Built for Dolby Atmos FlexConnect Systems
Dolby Atmos FlexConnect lets a supported LG TV act as the leader device while wireless speakers are placed freely around the room, with the system adapting to where those speakers actually sit. The W7 is assigned to a FlexConnect group as the dedicated bass module, carrying the low end while the FlexConnect speakers handle placement-mapped surround and height. In the US, support covers the 2025 OLED G5, C5 and CS5 and the QNED 9M, plus select 2026 models.
One Piece of a System You Can Build Over Time
Sound Suite is designed to be assembled in stages. The W7 pairs with the H7 soundbar, the M7 speaker and the compact M5 speaker in whatever combination suits the room, so a setup can start with a TV and a subwoofer and grow into a full multi-speaker arrangement without replacing what is already there.
An Additional Foot for Either Orientation
LG includes a second foot in the box specifically so the W7 sits correctly whichever way it is oriented. It is a small inclusion that reflects a real design intent: the horizontal position is a supported configuration with its own hardware, not a compromise the cabinet merely tolerates.
Tuned from the LG ThinQ App
Volume and phase are adjusted from the LG ThinQ app on iOS or Android. LG notes that W7 control appears in ThinQ once an H7 soundbar is registered and is accessed through the H7 menu, so in-app tuning is part of a Sound Suite setup.
A Cabinet Built to Be Seen
Most subwoofers are designed to be hidden. The W7 takes the opposite approach with a slim, minimalist black cabinet and refined materials intended to sit in the open alongside the rest of a Sound Suite system. The result is a bass module that reads as part of the room rather than as equipment tucked behind furniture.
Dual-Band Wi-Fi and Simple BLE Setup
The W7 connects over dual-band Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, with Bluetooth Low Energy handling the initial pairing so setup takes a few taps rather than a menu tree. The rear panel stays deliberately sparse: power in, and a USB Type-C port reserved for service use.
